Tangahoe Lodge - NZ Deer & Pig Hunting Trips
3 day 2 night hunt for Red Deer, Fallow Deer or Wild Boar. This hunt includes the accommodation and return airfare from Mountain Air at National Park to the lodge and return. You are assured of at least one deer per person. This is a 3 person hunt with a guide supplied. Father and son hunts or first time hunters Male/Female this is the ideal hunting spot for you. Bring your own food and beverage.
Red Deer (from $200 per head)
Red Deer are renowned for their delicious lean meat and are one of the hardest deer to hunt. Guests at Tangahoe have ample opportunity to stalk the deer which are hunted for meat and trophies from April 1st to the start of November.
Red Trophy Stag (10 points $500; 11+ $1,000)
Trophy Stags are hunted from the beginning of April. 'The Roar' usually last three to four weeks and range from 8 - 20+ points on Tangahoe. For anyone skilled enough to bag a trophy we will help you arrange a taxidermist.
Fallow Deer (from $150 per head)
Fallow Deer are also a delicious lean meat and are found in plentiful numbers around the lodge. These deer are generally the easier to hunt and are ideal for Father / Son hunts or those less experienced hunters. Hunts are from April 1st to the start of November.
Fallow Trophy Stag (from $500 per head)
Trophy Stags are hunted from the beginning of April. 'The Roar' usually last three to four weeks and range from 8 - 16 points on Tangahoe. For anyone skilled enough to bag a trophy we will help you arrange a taxidermist.
Wild Boar (from $200)
Tangahoe has always been known as an oasis for Wild Boar. They roam freely around the Lodge and can be hunted throughout the year. Please note: For the benefit of deer hunting dogs are not permitted.
