Getting to Tangahoe Lodge
There are numerous ways to get to Tangahoe. They are a journey which adds to the uniqueness of our Lodge. Cars are definitely not an option, which means that you'll be surrounded in tranquility throughout your stay at Tangahoe.
Most of our guests use Mountain Air's service from their base at Ruapehu's Chateau (Tongariro National Park) with their Cessna 206. This is a 15 minute flight to the Lodge and provides the ultimate scenic flight into Tangahoe.

Chris Blyth also provides a service into Tangahoe from Taupo Airport in his Cessna 185. Taking in a flight across New Zealand's biggest lake Taupo, along past Mount Tongariro, Ngauruhoe and Ruapehu. Total flight time is 35 minutes of pure New Zealand bliss.
